But this bouquet looks quite lovely. Minus the big white goofy ones.
Curling was less than spectacular- I am missing British Soccer. Movies on cable are dismal. Everything outside is BLINDINGLY WHITE. And VERY COLD.
Son stopped by the Library after his lunch and brought me a few more library reserve books....I chose one for yesterday but ended up doing "many more things" that did not involve reading....nothing productive. I did watch a cable "news" show that involved using the F word in every sentence sometimes-often- more than once. I was surprised...thought that word was "off limits" for tv....and the more often you use it the less effective it is.
I have a recipe here for a Vegetarian Tamale Pie...vegetables, beans and green chilies broiled until charred.. pureed tomatoes. Topped with cornbread. We have no green chilies. Today is Pizza......because it's Sunday.
Saturday used to be Chicken Soup.......for husband....I would simmer chicken, carrots, celery and onion in a stock pot and then he would pick the chicken off the bones and pile noodles in a bowl etc. and add the simmering strained broth.....carrots and chicken. Made four quarts....four days of soup. Kept him hydrated and he had "vegetables". Well, a carrot.
I made tomato soup for myself....not the Campbells variety...dark rich tomato in the Vitamix...but when I started having acid reflux with EVERYTHING I ATE- my diet got down to RICE and more RICE and we tried bananas but only every two days. Lots of steroids. Was NOT GOOD. Once a week at the doctor's office...blood work.....etc. It took MONTHS but finally went away. Never really knew why....
