Daily Notes for Friday, February 13th. I'm up early- well earlier than usual. Today is Library Grocery Day.

I have a couple Valentine images so decided to use one for each day this weekend.  I wish I had a good branch like this in my front yard where I could dangle homemade hearts.....BUT we all know I live on a dead end street and no one drives to the end where I am. So, other than the mail or garbage persons....it's just me seeing anything. And I  NO longer walk down to the mailbox.....in winter..remember I fell down that first winter after my husband died..slipped on ice......bloodied my head and broke my glasses.  No need to repeat that. Son was really upset.

Today is Friday- and Library...but sidewalks are still covered in ice (they were never shoveled)...so....Son will go pick up the requested books and walk there in the street.   I will wait inside the grocery store and then we will shop. The area where I wait has a bench but usually it is occupied.  

The Baked Potato Soup was pretty good....but I don't think I will get another carton of it- I will choose one of the others.  I added cheese to the soup.  Adding something crunchy or crisp would have been good also.  I didn't have those items.

Last week I asked about jelly donuts at the "in store bakery"... the ones they had were heavily coated in powdered sugar....this time, if they have them- I'll ask if they have one or two in the back minus powdered sugar.  I doubt they will....but I can aways ask.  Or scrape the sugar off the ones I buy????  no.

Daughter and I sifted thru another Attic Box.  Mostly McDonald's stuff... a few things might be reusable but perhaps too much trouble finding them new corporate homes.  Everything has logos. She is wanting to empty the Attic of things we (her dad and I) moved from house to house for 50 years. Never really "unpacking" because we would be moving again and again and again.....

Well,  not much else to share with you...I did not send Valentine's this year....my "internal" calendar is off and I missed the postal deadline.  I do have Easter cards so will try and be more "on time" with them. Possibly start sooner.........so MUCH sooner.
