Daily Notes for a Sunny Monday in Maine.....June 29th.

 Cherry Pie

Well, I didn't make a pie.   I didn't make much of anything.  Yesterday.

Son walked in yesterday and pointed to the front window in the room where I spend my days...outside was a Deer eating my weeds.  Wild Life.  Ticks etc.  Deer wandered off to the next yard and some oak leaves..

The image up top was from a recent search for fresh cherry recipes.  To use up my bag of cherries...I will most likely just eat them cold out of the fridge...as usual.   Soccer is still happening but players look exhausted.

I have started in on an old favorite from the Library .....Little Beach Street Bakery.....she's just moved in....author is Jenny Colgan....the library is tossing old stuff so I might need to try and buy a copy for myself.....first edition 2014.   Might be "out of print" as they say. I may be the only person reading this book.  Once a year or once every two years.

Reading old favorites is very much like a nice visit with an old friend....and most of my old friends are dead. (one moved to Canada).   So...a book.

A renewal notice for my Driver's License.  Last time I had to send away for a NEW copy of my birth certificate... It's always "something" at the DMV. I can't imagine what it's like to work there and drag one's self out of bed, dress, have breakfast and then drive to the DMV...for a full day of whatever comes your way.  And the waiting area is always PACKED.  I don't intend to EVER drive a car again...but do need an ID. I think I have given up on a Passport....lots of places I would like to go but let's be honest here...would I go?????

Amsterdam and the Van Gogh museum.  Paris and the Louvre.  That's about it. Perhaps a British art museum????  Cup of tea.  Scone.

Well, my desk calendar has only a few stamp sized spaces of white... for me to draw and color in. And then a brand NEW sheet of white paper under this keyboard.  My colored pencils are sharpened...ready to roll.
