The desk top. It's REALLY COLD here in Maine this morning... LOTS of Sun and it's only 10 degrees. The furnace is running.....I have it set at 66 degrees.... Son returned my Library books yesterday so he/we didn't have to go out in this cold today. We have enough food...so grocery shopping was also postponed. I have LOTS of homemade soup. And a stack of unfinished Suduko Puzzles.
Life as we now know it- really sucks. Could be worse.....I have to always remind myself- could be worse.
The Snow/Sun Drop bulbs have shot up- the green leaf shoots are up over the rim of the tall glass jar. The amaryllis has sent up a total of three leaf tips.....the other bulb is doing nothing as yet.....and that might be all it does this year. If I was grocery shopping today I might have purchased some additional plants for the garden table. The cactus plant has produced a few pink flowers....
I watched a few Romantic Comedies yesterday....instead of reading..... And I watched The Charge Station shows- CSI-- because they were being shown as full screen.....not the old 70's square version. And eventually I turned that off as well and went over to PBS and watched a documentary about an artist painting portraits of Strong Brave People.......I am hopeful that a book of the portraits and what these brave people achieved is available to purchase at some point in time. Would be nice to have.. I liked how the artist painted the portrait in one corner or the other and then filled the rest of the canvas with one solid color.
Well, that's it from here.... I've prepared myself for today's book... Bet Me. Which always makes me cry. Or I could just read Center's The Bodyguard....which might be the better choice. I still haven't found a copy of Center's earliest book- The Lost Husband...which would be prefect for today because I have soup..
I did pass up A Fall Of Marigolds at Goodwill...an old paperback for one dollar. What a fool I am some times.....
