Friend Of Twelve By Twelve- 9-01-10, Redo

When I looked at the image on the previous post I was reminded of a lesson from a David Walker workshop. If you start a line, be sure to finish it. I had an unfinished line. Now it's finished. I feel much better.

I think this piece turned out very nicely, and I do like it with the line "finished". I found this color scheme hard to work with. You can see my play-along quilt on my blog, http://lisasartmusings.blogspot.com/2010/09/twelve-by-twelve-lorikeet-challenge.html

Ooh, I like all the patterning and implied texture in your fabrics. It makes me want to get in close and see all the blobs and brush strokes. :-)

I have been looking at this quilt on and off for two days trying to see the line that wasn't finished. I finally found it. Yes, I think it was an improvement, even as subtle as it is. I love your shades of green. I think they are very close to the actual lorikeet color. I love it!

I love it. Your work is so wonderfully free and spontaneous. I think I get too fussy a lot. That green color is excellent!

Thanks for playing along Joanne. It's great to see other interpretations of the lorikeet palette.
