Morning Notes- Friday, June 14th- finished the last of the "other" library books that I need to return today.

Cheryl Warwick.  Mostly the early to late 1960's.

I found a new image site with Mid Century Modern.  That's when I was in school.. you will be seeing quite a bit of it here in June.  When I see the work of contemporary (to me in college)- I sit and ponder the waste of my Life.... I was there at the same time......younger and still a beginner but.....I know...there is still Life left to be lived (for me) and Art to be made.  Everything you will see here is on that site and is for sale as a poster sized image.  I am tempted to buy a few of them..... Rothko for sure.

So here we are....you and me... I've lost count of how many years now.  And I've lost count of who actually reads these posts of little to zero content.  I used to write essays.  Here.  I used to think what I had to say was good enough for a few paragraphs.  Now...not so much.  I was out and about in those days. Doing Things Making Things. Writing and publishing newsletters.

And now- it's just me and an occasional Lunch Buddy lunch.  I rarely even speak to another human.  I did ask Son to make me rice yesterday.  And I did secure a work date for the upkeep of the Boiler that heats water here for the house-- by email.  And that was it.  Then Silence. Not even the ticking of the Clock.

Right now I am listening to the Boiler heat water.  the downstairs is chilly as I have refused to open any windows.  Son has opened windows upstairs.....I never open them in summer...once the humidity gets inside- it doesn't go away.  It's very dark and still outside at 10:14am.  Might rain. 68 degrees.

We just discussed  the shopping list........and now we are going.  Comments or just chat is always welcome here.....

I'm with you on the silence which surrounds me most days. I do wonder, some days, why I bother to put in my hearing aids.

Well, my life was turned upside down. I was on my way out to visit my oldest son's family. The night I left, there was a fire at the house. It was contained in only one room and my middle son and the cats made it out safely. However, everything in the one room where we were growing our vegetables was destroyed due to a failure of some electric thing so it was deemed accidental. However, my studio is next door and it is full of soot and smoke. The living room and dining room has a lot of soot and smoke also and smoke throughout the rest of the house. Electricity and water are turned off so there is no place to live. My son is staying with my youngest son and will be taking care of everything. I will probably lose all my quilting and paper supplies! At least no one was hurt but life will be upside down for several months! But life does continue on...

You walked at the grocery store so you've started your walking journey. This would be a good day to walk to the end of the driveway and back - and then you'll have two days walking in a row. :)
