I wish this cake was here in my house.
So. Yesterday was the long awaited eye appointment. In and out in no time at all. Have a prescription and will go in and try and choose new glasses.......no rush though as these 10 or 20 year old ones- are actually perfect (and they were terribly WRONG when new). And the frames are a terrific RED. I'm using the reading lens section right now to proof read the screen. Excellent.
Another hour or so before the Appliance People come to measure for the stove and microwave. Let's all cross our fingers that the appliances "fit"...okay?
I need to bake a dessert for us to nibble on. I have no cake or brownie mix in the cupboard. I had the last small (tiny) packet of cookies yesterday One packet a week. Three tiny cookies in each.
Son is bringing his books downstairs- unpacking them.......doing a load or two of laundry. Up and down the stairs.....he has the machine timed into his iPhone....I just wander down ...eventually...to see if the wash is done. So different from Washing Machine Pages.....when leaving meant walking back to find the machine spilling water on the floor. If I stayed....it didn't do it. Never. I left.....water on the floor.
Cake. Sigh. Cake. Someone bring me a Cake.
I'll stop here... yep DebL- no library in Maine has copies of either book. Usually Auburn is the outlier. Especially with raunchy books..Twisted....but they also have a problem with people not returning books. Or just taking them and not checking out.....lawless. Mental Problems. Drugs. Alcohol. Abuse.
Beeping...someone is backing up. Always a good sign. The entire street is loaded with trucks, saws, branch chippers etc etc. None at my house. And it was garbage day....the garbage truck is huge... that was interesting getting it turned around on a dead end street....which mine is.
