Another index card.....I color them while watching extremely boring and repetitive tv.
1. At some POINT I will return to hand sewing strips to each other. But colored markers and index cards are the only speed I am moving at right now (it's August). That and love stories taking place 830 years in the past..sans deodorant, toothpaste.......and underwear. I recall loving these books- and I guess I'll admit to STILL loving them. Lynn Kurland. I wonder if she is still writing?????
2. My Son doesn't believe I am eating Greek Yogurt with 10 grams of protein per serving. I showed him the carton and he still says no. I also eat more than the listed amount of a serving.
3. I read all the labels on the canned beans in my pantry...three servings per can- at 7 grams protein each. I just have to figure out how to eat them.....I mean on a salad? I could make black bean burgers...but do I want to? Any ideas? Soup is a good idea but not in August. Black Bean Bisque is a favorite of mine.
4. He thinks I will be less dizzy and more "sure footed" eating high protein foods. I am dizzy. I will admit to that. I weave a bit...when walking. Or getting up to walk. And I am NOT eager to fall and hit my head on something. (like my husband did).... while walking an a DESERTED street (my own) because I already know I can't get back up off the ground.. (and there are ants on the pavement- lots of them)...I still have half a book to finish reading. A cane would not help me get up but I plan to start takin gone along.. My Life gets crappier as the weeks go by.........
5. Lunch this week with a former co-worker (Greenhouse). Monday...Tomorrow...Wild Oats. That has outdoor patio seating....or inside AC seating but very noisy......food is great....and desserts even better.
6. Wednesday, my hair gets cut.
7. I bought tomatoes and bacon and soft bread for BLT's....And we could possibly be having Chinese Take Out. Which would be AMAZING!!!!! I ran out of ice cream bars.....
8. My Library got ME a copy of a Maine artist's book--he painted rocks- on paper in the 1960's...and I collect rocks like he did....and might collect more and start doing watercolors of them...he used oil paints. Fiore. PBS had a hour show on his work here in Maine....I watch it quite often. It's something I think I SHOULD have done when I was in college.... paint. Even though I had absolutely NO money to buy paint or paper. He also played the piano- beautifully. I watch the recorded PBS show often........sometimes just the end to hear him play the piano. The things one falls in love with....strange huh????
9. And sometimes too late.
