Daily Notes- September 13th....Sunshine here in Maine and very cold at night.. Delightful.

New line drawings.  Found on Little Something's blog post yesterday.. actual art is by JOEL ESCALONA.  My line drawings are just that and if you want to see the real thing- please visit his site. Or Little Somethings which might be in my sidebar?????

I freehanded the sculptures as line drawings....looking forward to coloring them in.

1.   Made red sauce and spaghetti yesterday... I didn't have a large piece of beef or pork to simmer in the sauce all day....I had a package of Ground Angus Beef.  I added mushrooms and the remainder of an onion from Sunday's pizza.  I hadn't had spaghetti in a really long time so it was delightful. Will be again later today.  Next thing:  Eggplant Parm...homemade.

2.   Watched all the recorded PBS mystery series I had in the TiVo.  No reading...just tv watching.

3.   I have European Soccer to watch today.  I will skip American Football.

4.   I may read and I may not.....I feel, most of the day, like I need a nap.  You know...like Old People.. A Nap.  My Dad fell asleep if he held an eye blink too long.  Must have been nice. To sleep like that.

5.   Skipping news until the recent shooting gets boring and they stop talking about it.

6.   PBS is Fund Raising (AGAIN) and showing 20 or 30 year old things to 80- and 90-year olds who forgot they already bought the tapes and CD's. and crappy cookbooks..... So no Saturday Cooking Shows.  I have mostly GIVEN UP on Public TV. (other than Antique's Roadshow).....  I have British Soccer games to watch.  12:30 and 3 pm.

7.  I have a book over on the couch to read and a few others on the shelf... I am seriously considering getting the paints and brushes out and doing some watercolors.  I have a PEAR that would make a nice model.  And some RED PLUMS..  I watched something about Leonardo yesterday that I had recorded weeks ago and it got me thinking about mixing color. Painting.  Holding something in my hand and making marks on paper.  Sort of like this post.
