I saved this picture for today. Weeks and even months ago. I knew today would come and he would go. It was an easy death. For him. G and I and our daughter were with him. The people at the Vet's office were kind and gentle and gave us Time. I am washing dog towels and crying.
Riley was the kindest, most gentle, sweet dog in the whole Universe. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
We have so many memories of him.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have loved your Riley stories. Our Labradoodle will be 11 next month and I know he is getting close to the end of his life. He had IBS and is on a special diet. We have decided he will be our last dog. I just want you to know that I am feeling your loss this morning. (((hugs)))
ReplyDeleteOh, Joanne and family, I am so sorry, please accept my condolence! I know how hard this is for you. I miss Riley already.

My heart aches for you and your family. The loss of a loved one is always sad and when that loved one is a fur baby it seems doubly hard to bear. {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteYes, in his honor, a patch of Law & Order.
ReplyDeleteSuch steadfast happiness he gave so freely to you and G!
Sorrow you will, but hold the good times close.
Much love, hugs through the ether.
