I have no image for you today....Outside the window I have snow and more snow and very large footprints (holes) in the snow from some animal or person going across the back "lawn".
I tried to request a few Evanovich books...but the Library has installed a NEW system that is all pictures... no words. Pictures of the covers of books.... I tried to look at the catalog where I usually look for things but that's gone or somewhere else.... I gave up. I also tried clicking on a book picture but then it wanted all sorts of information from me.....stuff I was uncomfortable typing into their system.
So...I really gave up.....On them..... on the library. And you all know how very very much I loved my Library.
Well, I'm going to sit and cry a bit more and tears make it impossible to read or sew.....so until I work thru things I'll just sit and look at the list of books I wanted to order for next week....and realize I won't be ordering them.
I finally realized I could order them from OTHER MAINE LIBRARIES and I DID....they will arrive next week. It's what I will do from now on......Other MAINE LIBRARIES... Not mine.
why don't you have your son take you to the library tomorrow and have a librarian walk you through the new process?

Have you tried apps like Libby, Hoopla, and CloudLibrary? They work with more than just your local library and are easy to use. You just need a library card. You can read books & magazines and watch movies on your desktop computer, phone, or tablet. I love the feel of a book, but can't always find the time to visit the library. There is a decent selection and it's nice to not have to make a trip in bad weather, or be late in returning them physically. The apps notify you when it's time to return or renew, and you can place a hold on something and be reminded when it's ready. I use Libby the most. The audio-books are helpful so I can sew or do something else while listening.
ReplyDeleteHey Dogstar--- I'm sure this is what they have invested in....I type on this IMac. Period... I once upon a time did our taxes on the computer....but I will NEVER watch a. movie on it or do any other stuff.... it;s place where I go and TYPE.
